June 12, 2020, saw amateur sports being cleared to return to training. Ontario Soccer published their Return to Play Guide and we began working on our own plans. Given that amateur sport will not be able to return to games and until Ontario Soccer reaches stage 3 of their reopening strategy and all physical distancing measures are lifter, our Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 outdoor house league season.
We have put together a program for our house league players to give them a chance to work on their soccer skills!
This program will assist participants in developing a level of comfort and confidence by providing lots of touches on the ball through age appropriate activities. Players will learn skills in dribbling, passing and ball control. The sessions will encourage independent player development and having fun! The focus will be on repetition of movements for players to establish a relationship between the player and the ball.
All sessions will follow the provincial guidelines for the number of participants allowed and we will have strict rules in place to ensure the health and safety of all participants including but limited to :
U5 - Tuesdays (Jul 21, 28, Aug 4, 11, 18, 25)*
U6 - Mondays (Jul 20, 27, Aug 10, 17, 24, 31)*
