June 8 COVID Update

On behalf of the Board, I would like to reiterate that the Georgetown Soccer Club does not have any permits for any fields and therefore there should not be any team training going on, regardless of the number of players.  The only use of parks or soccer fields at this time should be with immediate family while continuing to practice social distancing.

The last communication we received from the Town was that all field Permits have been suspended until at least June 30.   As soon as we have an update as to when our permits will be issued, we will let you know along with the return to play policy (that we have yet to receive from Ontario Soccer).  Until that time, there is no team training that can be conducted, regardless of whether it is small group training and/or if you are wearing identifiable GSC gear.  If we don't continue to follow the rules set out by the Province and Town of Halton Hills, it could jeopardize any chance that we have to return to play later this summer.

Please respect these rules and stay safe.  We are just as eager to get back onto the fields as you all are, but we need to do so in a way that conforms with public policies and continues to ensure that we are keeping everyone safe.
